living in chicago has been pretty eventful lately.... hawks won the stanely cup. baseball anyone? construction on every major highway, simultaneously. budget crisis. education turmoil. great poverty and stress in the lives of the families we work with. and storms, storms, storms! liz and i were caught in the first wave of storms last friday, the same day that the sears tower's windows were blown out! this image was taken on wednesday night and shows an incredible double lightning strike of both the sears tower and the trump tower. during all this chaos, i am in awe of the power of god over all things. our peace lies in knowing him and trusting in his omnipotent ways.
