which move? you might ask. no... not the move back to Honduras last week. not even the move from casa #1 in colonia universidad to casa #2 in jardines. the big move for us this week was finally being able to feel (me only still, sorry jas) bambino moving around in there! 22 weeks and counting and am being reminded on a daily basis of the beauty and sacred nature of this gift. bambino is healthy. tall, really tall! he/she has a very strong heart beat, sturdy bones and a fully formed spine. we are so fortunate to have experienced a healthy and "average" pregnancy so far, another reminder of god's infinite grace in our lives. our first move, moving back to Honduras from the safety, security and love of our families and friends has been really hard on us this time around. i know that thursday night's second big move, feeling bambino for the first time (for sure!) was intentionally planned and intended by god to encourage our tired and weary spirits and to remind us of His love for each of us. feeling bambino alive and well gave me just what i needed in those moments of loneliness and sadness. one of the reasons we are here is for him or for her. when it's hard to remember the reason for this move, during times of fear and uncertainty, i have another little mover swimming around and helping to right my perspective. we are here for such a time as this. we all are really. no matter our circumstances, they will pass. good or bad, they will pass. no matter the plans we make in our hearts, it is god who we choose to guide our steps. no matter where you are in the world, or where your heart is in the process, may you always look for god moving in your life and be able to experience his grace and love in the big moves and the small.
our first move from one of our favorite places in the world..120 s. evanslawn
our next move...look at that kick!
22 weeks of changes.
Cambios y Noticias de la semana 22:
You have grown SO much the past couple of weeks! You're now the size of a speghetti squash, yow-za! 11 inches long and a full pound.
Your sense's are really developing this week. Taste buds are forming and nerve endings are developed enough for you to experience the sensation of touch. cool!
I am feeling great most of the time. Besides the growing bump, the only other constant reminders are: constant feelings of heartburn and muscle strain in my back, legs and newly found sciatic nerve.
I had what could be my first pregnancy craving (besides a large glass of red wine)... a gooey, baked cinnamon roll. I woke up smelling them and almost did some bodily damage this week at Cinnabon. i stayed strong, though, and tried to ignore the urge to eat out the whole bakery. i'm definitely going to need a large, delicious, warm home-baked, gluten-free cinnamon roll when we get home.
We had the chance to see baby bambino again this week at our ultrasound appointment. We could have found out the gender, but stayed true to our plan. We're very excited for the moment when our doctor says to us in a few more short months, here's your...daughter, or here's your...son! we're loving the pregnancy together and feel it's really bringing us closer as a couple.

How wonderful! I wish I could feel him/her moving :( but I'm so glad you are experiencing this wonderful gift as it wiggles around :)
